"The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step"

Yoga-Xen is a combination of two ancient wisdoms, Yoga for the mind, body and spirit combined with the Taoist way of thinking, Zen to bring us into a serene place, back to nature, to appreciate all that we have for free.

My method of instruction is based on Hatha Yoga - but my style of teaching has been influenced by my interest in many styles of Yoga and Eastern philosophy

During the yoga class I encourage students not to push themselves beyond their physical limitations. I emphasise that yoga is not competitive and that we all have different goals.

My teaching is sympathetic and safe. It is suitable for all abilities and ages.

I encourage students to take themselves to a level where they can feel comfortable.
Most of all I try to make it both challenging and fun.

Zen thinking is to encourage students to look at the world with different perspective. This is encouraged by applying this way of thinking into modern living. To take us into the 21st century with tranquillity and contentment.

The class finishes with a deep relaxation which is an integral part of Yoga.

Students leave their session in a refreshed, revitalised, and relaxed condition, and are able to take these positive feelings into the day to day world.
